Veterans Administration Medical Center EOC

The Veterans Administration Medical Center's emergency management system was further enhanced in 2011 with the opening of its new "Emergency Operations Center). Located in West Los Angeles just off the 405 freeway at Wilshire Blvd, this new facility is the flagship installation for the entire Veteran Administration Medical System.

Communicator Workstations

Emergency Operation Center in Action

In a crisis, face to face communication between first line responders is of the utmost importance. Communicator workstations offer line of sight communications over even the largest desktop monitors. A simple flip of the panel and everything returns to a smooth conference room worksurface. Communicators include CPU & Keyboard storage, flip-panel option and superior wire management. Each responder is separated by an integrated storage pedestal.

Visionmaster

Visionmaster Video Wall and Communicator Flip-panel Workstations

The twelve cube zero mullion rear-projection wall can spread scalable images anywhere on the palette without being constrained to the boundaries of each display. Computer signals, broadcast video, network applications and browser windows can all be displayed simultaneously in scalable windows. Matching video wall cabinetry offers electronic enclosures, adjustable shelving, cable management and an integrated whole room sound system.

Support Center

Cockpit Style Workstations with Carousel transitions Adjacent to the EOC is the main support center which is composed of cockpit-style slatwall workstations. The operators are joined together by manual carousel transitions that offer more than ample revolving storage and a shared worksurface. The workstations also include integrated file cabinets, articulating monitor arms, parabolic task lighting and CPU storage.
